Keri-Anne Telford...

Keri loves teaching yoga, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to pass on to others the joy and freedom that she has found in her own practice. She feels doubly blessed to be teaching in Southern California, the same place she discovered and fell in love with yoga. Keri currently resides in Santa Monica, where she met her first teacher, Jamie Elmer, who continues to be a mentor and dear friend. Keri then went on to complete her teaching training with Max Strom and Sherry Brourman.

Born in New Zealand, Keri has called many places home during her life adventures. Keri's adventurous spirit is undoubtedly due in part to her famous father's own sense of adventure. Max Telford is a world famous long-distance runner, who was in the Guinness Book of World Records for running across the infamous Death Valley desert in California. (He also ran along the Alaskan Pipeline, as well as up Mt. Fuji.)

Seeking somewhat more peaceful life experiences than torturous marathons through the desert, Keri choose to pursue an education in theatre at the California Institute of the Arts. Both while in school and after graduation, Keri found great pleasure in film, theatre, and all of the arts.

Always exploring life and our culture, Keri spent some time using her sensibilities and passions in the corporate world. The knowledge she brought back with her was the power and strength to find her love for yoga, and joyfully make it her career.

While her teaching schedule keeps her quite busy, Keri can also be found studying Vipassana meditation with Noah Levine, getting bruised up while practicing Parkour, and volunteering at the City of Los Angeles Animal Shelter with some of the most beautiful puppies you have ever met.
